International / Traveling Patients

Microendoscopic surgery is currently only available to patients in a few locations throughout the world.  For patients planning on traveling longer distances to MSI, we encourage you to first send us your medical records for review, to make sure you are a potential candidate for a microendoscopic procedure. A thorough evaluation in person is necessary to finalize a treatment plan. In some cases, patients may require further imaging or interventional procedures.

Microendoscopic surgery is typically an outpatient procedure, but we encourage patients to remain in the Boston area for a few days following the procedure.  We are dedicated to making sure that our patients are well recovered prior to leaving town and heading home.  Boston is a wonderful city to visit, with numerous hotel accommodations, historic landmarks and architecture, great food and activities, and world-class sports teams.
